Sup people. I apologize for not being around here much lately, haven't had all that much free time due to work, video games, & social obligations (not to mention plain laziness.) But I just want to say that I have still been working on MFV when I can, and I plan to get patch 1.2 out fairly soon I hope. It'll add 4 new songs, and some other minor things including loading graphics for all of the songs finally.

Secondly, while I have yet to see any blatant cheating/hacking taking place on the scoreboards, it has come to my attention that some players may be getting an advantage by playing on slower pc's and somehow slowing down the song & the timing. I don't really consider this to be "cheating", but it's still unfair to the legit players. Therefore these scores may get deleted if they are extremely high & cannot be proven on video. Play fair guys, and please let me know what exactly causes this problem if you know of it, so that I can code a fix into a later update.

Finally, I will be attending PAX East in Boston from March 26th-28th. Sadly I won't be showing off any new games or anything (maybe next year heh), but if anyone else is attending and wants to meet up/hang out, it would be a good time to do so. So let me know if you'll happen to be there

Does playing on a slow pc cause the music itself to slow down also, or just the notes? Would help me to figure out a fix for it.

Actually I just ran into what could be called a glitch with it along those lines. If I use a computer with an older release of flash, (this case it's flash 9r48) The chartes move slowly and not in time with the music, the music will end at about 50% completion on the song and let me keep tapping away slowly....

{edit} Just confirmed it is the version of flash player causing it (gotta love linux) I have swiftfox using an up to date version and it runs the songs fine, however firefox using the older version of the flash plugin the charts move deathly slow.) I hope that little bit helps you on your journey to better this game. I had wondered about that because I use an older version of flash for movies and the newer one for games (9r48 On Linux didn't use the GPU it was purely software driven, releases after that used the GPU to help a little)

Ahhhh. Yes that actually helps me a lot, I never thought of testing older versions of Flash (since I assumed it would only run with the newer builds.) Have to see if I add a check for that, thanks a bunch!

Patch is coming most likely this weekend (possibly sooner), got 3/4 of the new song unlocks charted and ready to go.

If the slow pc=high score happened for everybody,i'd have a score of like 300% on every song :P
